About Me and What to Expect From This Page
In 2015, I printed my fanzine, Sauvage, and when asked about the next issue, my response was simple: "When I have something to say."
This sentiment has guided me ever since. I try to resist the rush to write just for the sake of output. In a world eager for constant novelty, I believe in the value of mindful, conscious expression.
Over the years, I've worked with fashion, culinary arts, beauty, wellness, and more, using these fields as canvases for my artistic endeavours. I aim to inspire reflection, spark dialogue, and celebrate diverse perspectives.
This is not a blog; updates will be periodic but purposeful. Expect stories and insights that challenge conventional thinking, inspire new perspectives, and celebrate the awkward and unconventional.
Navigating Through These Pages
Here, you'll find "seeds" of my emotions, thoughts, contemplations, and musings. Whether discussing food, fashion, beauty, gardening, or yoga, I strive to share words that resonate, pushing against the "me, myself, and I" culture and redefining originality in our shared world.
At times, my creativity feels stalled, cycling through a loop of sameness. Yet, these pauses often lead to sparks of inspiration. Like being reminded that boredom can be beneficial, these moments push us to look deeper, crack open hidden messages, and discover new paths forward. This is why I treasure imagination over creativity.
Imagination has always been central to my life. It's more than storytelling, copy, or imagery—it's about capturing the essence of wonder in the grand and the little elements of daily life.
I believe artists are responsible for questioning the status quo, challenging outdated narratives, and amplifying marginalized voices.
By embracing both problems and solutions, we open doors to fresh approaches and real change.
We are at a pivotal moment filled with potential for innovation, growth, and building a more durable world. My work reflects a commitment to this, proving that embracing multiple passions—whether as a writer, yoga teacher, creative consultant, chef, or advocate—can lead to a fulfilling and impactful life. Here, I explore our connection to nature and human nature, the simplicity of this bond, and the complexities we impose upon it.
You can most likely find me writing at dawn when I find clarity in new beginnings. I hope these posts and newsletters inspire you.
Food for Thought
Launching Food For Thought Retreat allowed me to bring forward a vision I have had for years, intertwining storytelling, culinary arts, ecology and physical movement with urgent topics. These retreats are designed for introspection and action, inviting guests to move beyond the self and forge meaningful connections with the world.
I invite you to join me on this trip. This space is dedicated to the concerns that have shaped my path—our roles as artists and creators and the ethics of our outputs.
